Suggestion: If the mouse pointer does not reappear when you have finished entering text, disable the "Hide pointer while typing" option, found under the Visibility tab in the mouse control panel settings in Windows. Problem: The Database Merge function does not work. Explanation: LabelWare Pro and LabelWare Express both make use of the latest Microsoft database technology, MDAC. If you do not have MDAC installed on your system, or you have an old version, you will need to download and install both the DCOM and the MDAC programs, and then re-install the LabelWare program. Suggestion: The latest release of MDAC can be downloaded from Microsoft. To ensure that MDAC functions properly, Microsoft recommends installing the latest DCOM upgrades PRIOR to installing MDAC. The required DCOM upgrades are also available from Microsoft for you to download and install.
Problem: When I import a BMP, JPEG or GIF graphic it has a black line across the bottom, both on the screen and when I print. Explanation: This is a bug in the graphic control file that affects raster based images.

Users experiencing any of the above problems, please download and RUN this file: Wine LABEL Patch Problem: When I try to print I get an error message saying “paper size does not match printer settings”. Explanation: The print driver paper size setting si different than the template you have selected to print from.
Suggestion: Select “Modify Template” from the File menu. Change paper description to “Letter”. The select the “Set-up” button from the print dialog box, and make sure the paper size is also set at “Letter”. Problem: The first time I try to run the program an error message appears saying: “OLEAUT32.DLL is out of date” or “Unable to load or call external DLL”. Explanation: LabelWare’s installation cannot re-name, or delete a DLL file that is being used by your system during the time of install. If you continue to run any other software (including a hidden program) after installing, but before you restart your system, the new DLL files may not properly transferred into the correct directory.
Suggestion: Make sure that NO OTHER PROGRAMS are running, including hidden applications like Norton Anti-virus or Office tool bars. Then re-install the program and allow it to restart your computer. Problem: The program was working fine, but now it “freezes” right after the opening screen.
Suggestion: From Windows, Delete or Move any custom templates you have created. These are stored in the C:\program files\{application name}\templates\custom directory. Problem: When I print, everything is mis-aligned by a few millimeters. Explanation: The Horizontal and Vertical Offset values found in the Print Dialog are measurements provided by your printer driver software. These measurements indicate the distance that your printer is physically able to print from the edge of the printed page. It is important that these measurements are correct, otherwise, your labels may be shifted on the sheet of labels. Suggestion 1: To ensure the offset measurements are correct, enter a blank piece of paper in your printer and click the Test Page button. The horizontal and vertical offset measurements are represented by a border around the perimeter of the page. This border indicates the printing boundaries. To change the offset measurements, you need to manually measure the distance from the edge of the page to where you want the printer to begin printing (i.e. where the test border was printed). Enter these numbers in the Horizontal and Vertical Offset text boxes. If you have changed these numbers but want to return to the original numbers provided by your printer driver software, click the Reset button. Repeat this for both Portrait and Landscape printing.
Suggestion 2: Disable “MS Office Quickstart toolbar” or “Office Assistant” and reboot your system. Problem: The program won’t display background images. Explanation: You may have a missing .DLL file. LabelWare’s installation cannot rename, or delete a DLL file that is being used by your system during the time of install. If you continue to run any other software (including a hidden program) after installing, before you restart your machine, the DLL file is not properly transferred into the correct directory.
Suggestion: Make sure that NO OTHER PROGRAMS are running , including hidden applications like Norton Anti-virus or Office tool bars. Then re-install the program and allow it to restart your computer. Problem: The background image on the label does not print. Explanation: When a pre-printed template is selected (pre-printed templates included 4th &Vine, Classic Studio, and Husky pre-printed card), a background image is displayed on your screen. The background image is meant to serve as a reference, to help you place text and graphics on “PRE-PRINTED” material, and let you view your layout before it is printed. Only the text, graphics, and shapes that you add will be printed, as the background image has already been pre-printed on the material you have purchased. Suggestion 1: To work with pre-printed templates, you will need to purchase the “PRE-PRINTED” material designed for use with your software. See the README.TXT within your program for more information on how to purchase these. Suggestion 2: Select “PRINTABLE” templates (if offered in your software) to design and print everything onto blank paper, using your own colour printer. Suggestion 3: Use Clipart graphics supplied with your software, or import your own clipart to create a label design that is “fully” printable. To add a Clipart graphic to your label:

Suggestion: To add a symbol to your label, use the Character map found in your Windows Accessories programs, to determine the “key stroke” required for the symbol or Accented letter you wan tot use. Then return to Your LabelWare software, create a text object, and use the “key Stroke” to add the symbol right into your text. Problem: How do I uninstall the program? Explanation: LabelWare Software uses standard Microsoft Uninstall procedure. Suggestion: To Uninstall any LabelWare program:
Problem: When I select "Print Proof", the print-out of the label runs together with the approval copy.

Suggestion: If you are using Netscape, and are unable to send you registration via e-mail, please choose the option to Print for fax or Mail submission.
Problem: How do I add text or clipart to the label. Explanation: Your LabelWare software uses an object-based format, with all text, shapes, and graphics referred to as objects. Use any number of objects in any combination. Once you have selected your template, you can:
To reposition any object on the label, click the block and drag it to the new location. To resize the object, click the block, then drag one of the block’s corners or side handles to a new size. Suggestion: To add text to your label:
